Continuing enhancements have built on the foundation of V6.0 – the new release V7.0 adds enormous flexibility with unmatched scalability to the range of CloudWare Softswitch configurations. The installation packages have been optimised for deployment directly to the Cloud. A platform can be installed and setup remotely in minutes ready for configuring and provisioning.

More Unified Communications features have been added for Class 5 deployments within VPBXs. There's an updated Call Recording Media Gateway and now service providers replacing legacy keyphone systems will be pleased to know that CloudWare V7.0 supports SIP Multicast and Unicast paging. An updated Call Credit Management Platform Interface supports Calling Card, Pre and Post Paid accounts and each User Port can be assigned an ‘International Time Zone’ that represents its location.

The Class 4 Transit Softswitch in V7.0 adds a suite of updated sophisticated and advanced trunk routing options including CLI re-writing, IVR, dial by Post or ZIP code (or any code), routing by time of day/month/year and a whole lot more. CloudWare Server V7.0 incorporates an updated E.164 ENUM feature to query a local or remote ENUM Service for mapping of the called number to the required call routing destination and now when replacing legacy SIP platforms with CloudWare Server V7.0, migration of in-situ SIP phones is easily accomplished with CloudWare’s ‘Alias’ SIP mapping feature. The ‘Alias’ feature also enables 'dial by Name'.

Version 7.0 is managed entirely be a very comprehensive Web Portal – no scripting or command line programming is necessary – easy to deploy, learn and support resulting in a very low Total Cost of Ownership.

Version 6.0 is a step change in the development of the CloudWare Carrier Class range of server applications. The system management has now been migrated to a database structure supporting either MySQL by default, although any ODBC compliant database can be used. Along with CloudWare's own Web Portal development also released with this version, the database abstraction enables independent development of applications to manage and control various features and functions of the CloudWare VoIP Suite.

Among many great new features added, is SIP-SIMPLE and BLF (Busy Lamp Field) for Virtual (Hosted) PBXs. Noting that the CloudWare Call Server has its own built-in virtualisation engine (no VMware or Hypervisor is necessary), extensions within Virtual (Hosted) PBXs equipped with phones (hard or soft) that support SIP-SIMPLE and BLF can set and indicate to others their Presence, their Call State (via programmable buttons and lamps) and send each other Instant Messages. Each CloudWare Call Server can support up to 100,000 users (with 30,000 concurrent calls) and any number and configurations of Virtual PBXs can be implemented within the 100,000 limit per server – now with the release of V6.0 Unified Communications is available to each VPBX.
