About Us

CloudWare is an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) which, over the last 10+ years has built and marketed its own commercial Softswitch (no open source) via established business relationships with Telcos, ITSPs, VSPs and high profile corporate customers in Australia and the Asia-Pacific Region.

‘Cool Solutions Software’ was founded by Iain Strath in January 2002 in Melbourne, Australia – originally to develop Bluetooth wireless devices and VoIP mobility software. Changing its name to Blue-Wireless in 2004 the focus was on development of a VoIP over Bluetooth Pocket PC and the CloudWare Softswitch as the underlying platform.

Since its launch in August 2004 the CloudWare Softswitch has become the core product for both development and marketing. In January 2009 the name of the company was changed to CloudWare to reflect the shifting market towards telephony and Unified Communications ‘in the Cloud’ and as a service. Targeting the international competition, the company’s business model is to position the CloudWare Softswitch as the core technology for next generation carrier platforms competing against the incumbent telco vendors and focussing on 'the Cloud Paradigm'.
